Living With Chronic Pain – Spiritual Fitness – The Voice Of Pain

Whenever you first meet someone who legitimately experiences severe pain, your encounter might seem quite intimidating. Not only does the demanding voice of pain try to drown out any sense of civility and compassion, but it also tries to leave you feeling helpless as to how you might actually provide comfort to those who are painfully afflicted.

For both the healthy and those who are afflicted, don’t let the loud voice of pain, related to whatever you’re going through; seem more powerful than the calm voice of God.

In all likelihood, this voice of pain, brazen and vulgar against any ideals about health, appears to shout at you from its outer (physical) parts. But in reality, you’re also hearing the cry of the heart, as pain always finds its way deep within the soul of man.

So as the outer parts of pain shout against you, remain calm and don’t get easily offended by the awkwardness of the afflicted. Because their inner being probably feels trapped and misunderstood, silently crying for some kind of help. And oftentimes, the painfully afflicted don’t even know what kind of help is really required to give them the kind of relief they really need.

Their fear and barbaric pain fights against the basis of true healing for the soul. It’s as if the rudimentary aspects of sin try to prevent any measure of God’s beauty to come inside to give comfort and complete spiritual healing.

If you’re being used as an instrument from God, I encourage you to follow His voice against those darkened forces that hold captive so many who experience some form of pain. Hurting people need our help, even though pain harshly tells us to stay away.

Living With Chronic Pain – Spiritual Fitness – The One-Time Miraculous Answer

People today aren’t really looking for one-time miraculous answers to ultimately solve some of their difficult circumstances during the times in which we live. Sure…you and I might appreciate the easiness and magnificence of receiving some kind of miracle to make our lives a little less cumbersome. Yet during these times, one-time miraculous interventions aren’t really enough to eliminate the entirety of our painful trials.

I sense that every culture, worldwide, will experience ongoing waves of unrelenting adversity for periods of time to come. It’s against this grainy lifestyle for which we must adapt as effectively as possible.

Needless to say, we need real solutions to handle our conundrum of hardships. Simple answers do not suffice. The complexities found within our entangled problems are, quite frankly, overwhelming.

In a nutshell, I encourage everyone to refrain from hoping for one-time miracles to empower how we are to live during these pressure-packed days of uncertainty. The depth and number of problems will not cease, and in fact, are rapidly spreading into the next generations to come. The only answer to overcome this pandemic of our worldly madness comes through Him Who loves us.

His one-time miracle on the cross gives us the redemptive hope for living abundantly, even if these times try to dictate otherwise.

Spiritual Healing – Prayers from Gordon Selley – April 1, 2009

“Father…My prayers this morning are for those who feel surrounded by their enemies…As the wicked hunters attempt to set traps for the righteous, I intercede in the name of Jesus, that all of their evil schemes be dismantled and permanently foiled…By Your armor God, protect Your chosen, guiding them in going out and when coming in…Lord, I acknowledge that our help comes from You…I praise You for Your word – because Your word is the sum of all Truth…Bless our enemies with Your just measure as Your justice and righteousness rule for everlasting…As businesses experience horrendous leadership debacles and financial devastation, continue to show Your mercy and wisdom to those who call upon Your name…For Your name is great…greatly to be praised…I thank You that You’ve already stomped Your heel on the serpent’s head…I thank You that victory comes from the head and not the tail…May Your purposes show their worthiness like refiner’s fire, whereby the souls of the elect shine with faithfulness brighter and more elegantly than all gold…Lord, I ask for Your compassion and mercy and healing for the wounded and broken hearted…Help us to comfort others by Your Spirit…May the plans of the righteous come into fruition by the submission of the human will unto Thee…Lord, be patient with us during these twisted times of multiple worldviews…God, I personally cry out for Your wisdom and salvation to pour on to this nation…We need You like someone who tries to cross the desert without water…You are our sustenance of life…Pour out springs of living water upon our parched souls…You bring forth unfathomable greatness…Forgive us of our transgressions and of our eyes for the easy things of humanism…Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…For You rule with divine providence and underscore the meaning of love because You are love…Thank You for the day ahead…Help me to walk each minute of each hour with You in mind…Bless You Father, Son and Spirit…Amen…”
